About the Event
Join us for Our Water, Our Future, a powerful World Water Day event highlighting youth voices in the movement for Water For Everybody. Through art, storytelling, and advocacy, Detroit’s young leaders will share their visions for an equitable water future—one where access to clean, safe, affordable water is a human right, not a privilege.
This event will take place at the Water Futures in Michigan, Kenya, and Oaxaca exhibition at the Gordon L. Grosscup Museum of Anthropology. This powerful exhibit, developed in collaboration with Wayne State University, UC Berkeley, and We The People of Detroit, presents the meaning, beauty, and complexity of water in human life across different cultures. Featuring compelling photographs, digital artworks, historical and contemporary artifacts, and data visualizations, Water Futures explores how water shapes our world—and how power and privilege determine who gets access to this essential resource.
